That is where the most important thinking happens.
And where the right clarity, made early, saves significant cost and complexity later.
My role is not to design your space. It is to define what it needs to become — and to assemble and direct the right people to bring that to life.
What I do

Spatial Concept &
Direction
I develop the foundational concept for your space: the identity, the feeling, the flow, the guest or user experience. This becomes the strategic document that architects, interior designers and all creative parties work from.
Without this foundation, projects drift. Decisions get made without a clear reference point. Budgets are spent on details before the whole has been defined. This is the work I do first — and it changes everything that follows.

Team Assembly &
Creative Leadership
I identify the architects, interior designers, furniture houses, lighting specialists and suppliers best suited to your specific project — and brief them from the concept I have developed.
I do not work with a fixed team. I build the right team for each project. This takes experience and an existing network. I have both.

Ongoing
Direction
I remain involved as your creative director throughout the project — attending key meetings, reviewing decisions, ensuring that the original vision stays intact as the work progresses.
You have one point of contact for the creative direction of the entire project. That is me.
How I charge
I am clear about my fee structure from the first conversation. It has three components:
1 — Project fee
A fixed fee for the concept phase — covering the full development of your spatial concept, identity and direction document. Scoped per project based on size and complexity.
2 — Monthly retainer
Once the concept is defined and the project moves into development, I work on a monthly retainer as your ongoing creative director. This covers my availability, attendance at key meetings and creative direction throughout the process.
3 — Sourcing
Part of my role is identifying and sourcing the right furniture, lighting, materials and objects for your project — drawing on established relationships with a wide range of suppliers and makers, from specialist trade sources to carefully selected pieces available through other channels.
Who I work with
Boutique hotel & historic venues
Owners and founders of boutique hotels, historic venues and event locations — who want a space that works as well as it feels.
Real estate & investors
Real estate developers and investors — who understand that concept and identity determine long-term value, not just interior finish.
Meaning workspaces
Organisations building meaningful workspaces — where environment supports the way their team actually thinks, connects and performs.
People at the beginning
People at the beginning of something — who know that the thinking they do now will shape everything that follows.

How to start
Tell me about your project — where you are in the process, what you are trying to create, and what you are trying to get right.
I will tell you honestly whether this is something I can help with, and what that might look like.
